  • Full time in-home child care provider; McLean, VA; Full time care of five children (from birth- 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 1/2): included management of household, developing an active learning environment, reading to children, supervising and planning trips and activities, making and keeping appointments, transportation, finding and employing household maintenance people, supervision of help, planning and preparing daily menu including grocery shopping, some 24 hour care up to 10 days at a time.

January 1990-November 1993

  • Substitute Teacher, Montgomery County Public Schools; Rockville, MD, Perform all the duties of the teacher in the following classes: Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Grades 1-6, Special Education, Music, Media and PE.

September 1991- September 1993

  • M-F care of two boys ages 8 & 11, Olney, MD; after-school, evening and occasional weekend care; laundry, meal prep. Grocery shopping, driving to activities

1985-1989

  • Montgomery County YMCA; Group leader and morning site director, bus driver, After-school- aged childcare children ages 6-11
  • Part-time office job: Answering phones & stuffing envelopes for mailing, opening and closing on occasion.
  • Part-time retail job: This was fun we made about 20 different flavors of gourmet popcorn & many flavors of fudge. They also sold ice cream.
  • My responsibilities included sales and making popcorn and fudge, clean-up, opening and/or closing, deposit of daily bank.
  • Evening and weekend baby-sitting all ages.
